# Debezium CDC Database Replication to Kafka

Deploys Debezium Kafka Connect connectors: configuring PostgreSQL logical replication (pgoutput), MySQL binlog capture, schema evolution tracking, message tombstone handling, and outbox pattern events.

## When to Invoke
Invoke this skill whenever you need to:
- configure debezium postgres connector
- setup debezium cdc kafka
- implement outbox pattern cdc

## Execution SOP & Rules
1. Set wal_level = logical, max_wal_senders = 10, and max_replication_slots = 10 in postgresql.conf.
2. Post connector configuration to Kafka Connect REST API: POST /connectors with connector.class.
3. Configure plugin.name = 'pgoutput' and publication.autocreate.mode = 'filtered'.
4. Verify connector task status via GET /connectors/{name}/status and observe topic partition offsets.
