# Glances & htop Cross-Platform Real-Time Process Monitoring

Operates modern system inspectors: htop customizations (tree view, CPU affinity, kill signals), and Glances client-server monitoring over REST API and terminal curses mode.

## When to Invoke
Invoke this skill whenever you need to:
- run glances terminal
- htop tree view process
- glances rest api export

## Execution SOP & Rules
1. Launch Glances: glances in terminal or run background server: glances -w.
2. In htop: press F5 for Tree view, F6 to sort by memory/CPU, and F9 to send specific signals.
3. Configure alert thresholds in glances.conf for warning (70%) and critical (90%) resource levels.
4. Query Glances REST API: curl http://localhost:61208/api/3/cpu for programmatic monitoring.

## Verification Checklist
- Run local linting, syntax validation, and type-checks before reporting completion.
- Ensure all created or modified files adhere to workspace boundaries and avoid uncommitted secrets.
- Verify tests or build commands exit cleanly with return code 0.
