# MCP Transport Adapters: Stdio & SSE Web

Connects MCP clients and servers across execution boundaries: standard I/O streams (child_process pipes) for local agents, and SSE + HTTP POST endpoints for remote network servers.

## When to Invoke
Invoke this skill whenever you need to:
- configure mcp stdio transport
- setup mcp sse server
- connect remote mcp server

## Execution SOP & Rules
1. Use Stdio transport for local desktop integrations (Claude Desktop, Cursor, local CLIs).
2. Use SSE (Server-Sent Events) for remote cloud-hosted MCP services.
3. Handle JSON-RPC 2.0 message parsing and dispatching over the chosen transport stream.
4. Ensure clean shutdown and subprocess teardown when transport connections terminate.

## Verification Checklist
- Run local linting, syntax validation, and type-checks before reporting completion.
- Ensure all created or modified files adhere to workspace boundaries and avoid uncommitted secrets.
- Verify tests or build commands exit cleanly with return code 0.
