# TruffleHog Verified Git Secret & Key Detector

Scans repositories, S3 buckets, and filesystems with TruffleHog: scanning 800+ credential types, Shannon entropy analysis, and actively verifying whether discovered keys are valid against provider APIs.

## When to Invoke
Invoke this skill whenever you need to:
- scan repo with trufflehog
- verify leaked credentials trufflehog
- find active api keys git

## Execution SOP & Rules
1. Execute trufflehog git file://. --results=verified to report only active, confirmed credentials.
2. Review verified credential alerts immediately and trigger key revocation.
3. Clean git history using git-filter-repo or BFG Repo-Cleaner if keys were pushed upstream.
4. Integrate TruffleHog GitHub Actions workflow to block pull requests containing secrets.

## Verification Checklist
- Run local linting, syntax validation, and type-checks before reporting completion.
- Ensure all created or modified files adhere to workspace boundaries and avoid uncommitted secrets.
- Verify tests or build commands exit cleanly with return code 0.
